Affiliation of new colleges / programmes
University of Calicut grants affiliation to new colleges and new programmes in existing colleges as per Section 56 of Calicut University Act 1975 and Chapter 23 of Calicut University First statutes 1977 enacted thereunder.
Affiliation of new colleges /new programmes in existing colleges - Procedure

Applications can be submitted by Educational Agencies/Affiliated colleges for starting new colleges/new programmes on or before 31st of October every year and on or before 31st of December along with late fee.

Applications are considered by the Syndicate of the University.

Legal Experts appointed by the University verify the documents submitted along with the applications.

District Level Inspection Commmissions are constituted by the Syndicate for conducting inspection of the proposed sites.

The Syndicate considers reports of inspection of the DLICs and the recommendations are forwarded to Government for views.

University grants provisional affiliation on receipt of NOC from the Government and on submission of Affidavit in prescribed proforma and in stamp paper worth Rs.200/- and Challan receipts for remittance of Affiliation/Administration fee. Approval from regulatory bodies are also insisted.
